These 7 boys played their hearts out today and gave their all for Cold Ash U12's playing a year up in the Tornadoes U13 competirion, they made it all the way to the Quarter Finals before going out on penalties and did not look out of place.

You not only played magnificently, you earned the respect of teams who were physically stronger and wiped a few smiles off of faces along the way.

Thank you alfie for joining us at such short notice, great result boys, well done.

Well done to all the Cold Ash teams representing the club at Thatcham Tornadoes U12's yesterday and the coaching team for all your efforts in keeping the boys and Isabella playing so well and engaged throughout the tournament.

Cold Ash Blue went on with outstanding support from all the clubs players present and parents to finish runners up.

Cold Ash White and Black made it the last 16 where they met each other (planned that wrong, lol) with Black making it into the Quarter finals before finally going out on penalties.

Thank you to all the coaches who made it a great day you truly are a great team and hope you all continue next season.

Well done boys.

Tornadoes Stripes Vs Lightning

Cold Ash Lightning played their final league game of the season against Tornadoes Stripes at Lower Way this morning in a 10am kick off.

The boys arrived full of energy and eager to put their last game behind them with a real chance of finishing runners up in their division.

As the clouds rolled overhead threatening rain Tornadoes Stripes kicked off the first half, the ball bouncing around passes in midfield, for the first 15 minutes the game was pretty much end to end when Stripes broke on a move down the right wing turning our defence and slotting a ball just out of Archie reach across the box to find their striker who sent the net rippling for 1-0.

With the boys heads still up and encouragement from the parents the boys went again playing some beautiful passes breaking the opposition defence with several through balls which was finally rewarded with a well taken goal by Dylan from inside a crowded goal mouth.

With Cold Ash back in the game the boys kicked on, Tornadoes kicked off again and it was not long before a beautiful slotted through ball found Dylan who set up a sweaty for Harvey to find the back of the net.

Half time finished 2-1

Second Half Cold Ash had kick off, each and every player were all fired up smelling victory in the air, our defence held strong as it had done in the first half with Jacob, Rhys, William and Robert breaking up play and working really well as a unit, the midfield pushed on and were in full control driving forward and tracking back

Matt Adams made it three following a one on one with the keeper, Rufus, Lyndon, William and Tom worked tirelessly in midfield with some fantastic passing to eventually send the ball up the line which was rewarded again with Dylan slotting in our third and the teams 4th.

The game was now being controlled by our midfield, every loose ball on a Tornadoes break was being mopped up by Archie who was amazing between the posts today.

The fifth came from Dylan to get his hatrick, number six came from Lyndon who found himself in open space with only the keeper to beat slotting it neatly past him and to cap off a truly amazing performance Matt broke again with a well taken goal to finish the scoring.

Truly the best I have seen these boys play, well done all.

Man of the match today was Rhys Davies who not only captained the team today but did not put a foot wrong the whole game, well dine Rhys.

Final Score 1-7
